Rated 4 out of 5 by from Instructions for install It would have been nice to have instructions for installation of the belt. It’s easy for the mechanically inclined. But your team should think about others. I had two adjust the belt twice because I had the tension too tight

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement belt Mine broke after 3.5 years and close to 5,000 km. Pretty satisfied with the initial product. I found a replacement one for $16 online at andymark. Same belt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wahoo kickr replacement drive belt Very expensive but felt I had no choice but purchase it. Found other options on Amazon for at least half the price but wasn’t sure if the spec exactly matched. It’s the only part of my kickr that has failed in ca. 3 years but still disappointed with the Wahoo retail price

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weak Link This is certainly the weak link in the KICKR trainer. For me they only last about a year and $80 for a replacement is ridiculous. As others have said you can buy a replacement from Andy Mark for $16. I used a replacement belt from them (only difference is it is marked HTD vs Powergrip) all of last year with no issue. I do have to replace that one now for this year but I can buy 5 of those belts for the same price ast this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too expensive and breaks easily I go through these yearly despite being a smaller rider and using the trainer 2-4hrs per week

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Belt keeps breaking This is the second belt I will have to replace, and $80 for that is crazy. They are now lasting about a year, with on and off use. I am a big guy, but no TDF rider, so its crazy to think that I would break this after just a year of riding a couple times a week for only a portion of the year. I followed all the instructions, but its of no help, they are not super clear about belt tension etc, but I'm quite mechanical, so I would be surprised if it was something I did wrong. One more and I find a new trainer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Alternative option The Gates PowerGrip GT 5M 170T 15 belt can be replaced with a Continental ContiTech 850 5M 15 Hawk Positive Drive Synchronous Belt, 850mm Pitch Length, 3.6 mm Height, 5mm Pitch, 15mm Wide belt for $22 on amazon. Both of them have the same specifications.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Another $80 already? Really? Not sure how long this belt is supposed to last, but I have only 737 miles on this trainer - purchased new - and now I have to purchase a new belt because the current one has broken. I have had to adjust the belt for slippage 4 times already, always afraid to over-tighten for fear of breaking or stretching too far. The company's video on belt adjustment is easy to follow, but regarding the belt tension, it is pretty ambiguous... "Tighten it until there is no more play, then turn it one full turn tighter". There are no instructions or indications about over-tightening. I have no idea if I was running it too loose or too tight and whether that has contributed to the failure or whether it is just a defective product. 737 miles is not even close to a set of race oriented tires much less a chain. Do I really need to replace the belt on this thing every 5 months? Seems ridiculous, not to mention the initial cost of the trainer.
